December Events

We hosted another Christmas party this year and had a lot of fun! We are so lucky to have such great friends here in Texas.

Our ward Christmas Breakfast with Santa. We were eager to see how Jackson would react to Santa this year and he did great! He just sat on his lap and took the candy!

We finally made it to the Trail of Lights this week! It's been a cold and busy week around here so are happy that we were able to fit it in before we head off to Utah. Jackson loved all of the lights!

There were so many fun and different scenes along the trail.

Jackson was pooped by the time we reached the end of the trail. It was way past his bedtime but worth the fun.

Keeping Daddy's ears warm on our walk back to the car.

Mission Impossible

I was attempting to get a good picture of Jackson for our Christmas card and this is what I got. I had to bribe him to stay against the wall with a "treat". He was much more interested in eating his treat than looking and smiling at me for a picture. What a little stinker!

Fall 2008 Update

Sunday, November 23, 2008

Its been a little while since we posted on our blog so we thought the easily way to catch up would be to upload some pictures of what we've been doing.

For the ward's Fall Festival (Halloween party) we went as players on the Brazillian World Cup soccer team. We got Jackson a uniform while we were on vacation down there.

We had the Van Every's over to carve pumkins again this year (we missed the Jensen's)

Nana and Papa Gardner also came down the day before Halloween!! It was fun to go out trick or treating with them (Jackson in his little "car car"). They also helped make the house look extra spooky.

Nana, Papa and Jackson. Notice the "Y" pumpkin (for BYU) - the pumpkin reflected their football season perfectly - firm and good looking at the beginning, then without notice, started to stink.

The final product... (checkout the Longhorn logo - this was carved on the opposite side of the "Y" carving. It actually held up remarkably well... Coincidence?! - I think not)

Saturday after Halloween we worked on another project - refinishing the front door. I never really realized how much I absolutely love sanding! Papa actually did the majority of the work, with a little help from Jackson - I was there for encouragement... Sand Sand Sand!

Meggie arrived on Saturday also. Pictures taken with her cool SLR camera before church.

Great photo of Nana, Papa and Jackson - very nice door in the background... :)

Cheese!

Here are some pics of the J-man with the cool SLR camera.

Cute profile.

Close up!

Our fun weekend

Sunday, October 12, 2008

On Friday we visited a pumpkin farm out in Elgin, TX. Jackson's favorite part was definitely the wagons.
We took a tractor hayride around the farm, looked at all the animals and picked out a few pumpkins to take home. Jackson loved to pull the wagon or get pulled by Daddy.
The cutest "pumpkin" in the patch!
On Saturday Jordan went up to Dallas to go to the big Texas vs. Oklahoma football game. Hook'em Horns!

Our Trip to Brazil

Sunday, September 28, 2008

We are now back from our trip of a lifetime to Brazil. We had such an amazing time, the only thing we would change is how much we missed our little Jackson. He was in great hands at Meggie's house.

Our first stop: Iguaccu Falls

The most beautiful waterfalls we had ever seen. We couldn't believe how big they were. Totally amazing! On the Brazilian side of the falls (half are technically in Argentina) we were able to walk out and pretty much be right in the mist of the falls.

Second Stop: Florianopolis (Jordan's mission)

We visited the mission office in Florianopolis where Jordan found his old mission papers that he turned in when he was 18. They still had them! A lot had changed from when Jordan used to live there. We visited three of the areas that he served in and actually found a few families that he knew.

The big fig tree at the 15th of November park in downtown Florianopolis.

The miles of stairs to get to a home that Jordan used to live in.

The view from Jordan's old house (at the top of all the stairs).

On top of Morro da Cruz with a breathtaking view of the city.

A quaint little town, Barra da Lagoa that we found on the other side of the island. We ate lunch right on the beach.

Third and final stop: Rio de Janerio

We visited the Cristo Redentor (Christ the Redeemer) statue on Corcovado. Another truly amazing sight. It was so big and the view was incredible!

Just to give you an idea of how big it really is. That's Jordan's head at the bottom!

Next we stopped at Pao de Azucar (Sugar Loaf Mountain). We took two cable cars to get to the top.

Sugar Loaf behind us. (We were on the top of that mountain in the last picture.)

We had such a great time and have wonderful memories that will last a lifetime!

Fun with Aunt Lynsie

Thursday, August 28, 2008

A few weeks ago my little sister Lynsie came out to Texas for her Senior trip. I don't think Jackson ever left her side while she was here except for his naps, of course. He LOVES his Aunt Lynsie!

Always wanting to be wherever Lynsie is!

Swimming at the Rock N River waterpark.

Lynsie did an excellent job of keeping Jackson entertained while my mom and I were shopping. He loved being able to run around the store with someone chasing him!

EVERY morning he would get so excited to go and wake up the girls. He would crawl right up on the bed and give her kisses! No fair!

My Cute Little Guy

I had a fun afternoon playing with my mom's digital SLR. Jackson was the perfect subject for my little photo shoot. I seriously want one of these cameras. So much fun!
